where it all begins (and ends)
The Clocker page - it's the centre piece of On Staff and where your staff will clock on and clock off by simply pressing a button. Using fancy Web 2.0 technology means fuss is kept to a minimum - your staff will love using On Staff.

On Staff will help you track payroll for your all your employees. On Staff can effortlessly track the clock on and clock off times of each employee and report to you the total hours for everybody at a moment's notice. If staff arrive an hour early because they feel like having lunch at your business and getting paid for it – On Staff won’t let them clock in without Manager approval. Same applies for staff clocking out! Stop paying your staff for socialising at the end of their shift. If they clock out too late, the Manager will have to OK it ... or not.

substitute in style
When you lock your computer to a container, On Staff will allow you to select anyone from your staff list (that's assigned to the container) regardless of being scheduled or not. So, if a particular staff member can't work their shift, it is super easy for someone else to come in select their name and clock in. On Staff will then ask them who they are subbing for and auto-calculate the substitution for you.

Have lots of staff? On Staff makes it easy to manage hundreds of people with Containers. Containers can represent anything you need and you can make them specific to your business: locations, departments, and projects - whatever. Each Container has its own calendar and you can assign any number of your staff to it. A staff member can even belong to more than one (or all) Containers. And now with time zone support, all the recorded times are exactly right - no matter where you are in the world!

approving leave is so easy, your staff will love you
On Staff makes it super simple to allocate members of your staff on leave. If someone wants to take leave, hover over their name and select leave. You'll be presented with a list of the types of leave you have (which you can setup!) and then you simply select the appropriate one. On Staff will cross them out of your roster and will prevent you from assigning them to a duty for that day. If you forget why they're crossed out - just hover over their name and On Staff will show you.

Notice how there doesn't seem to be a staffing solution out there that allows you to operate your office till 4am without having to schedule the same people onto two calendar days? On Staff ignores calendar days intelligently so your shifts can go from night into morning without messing up wages or calendars. Staff will always be tracked on what their job is and not who they are. Actually, just two! Not everyone in your business should be able to see everyone else … right? Right! That's why On Staff allows you to assign one of two different administration levels to every employee. "Container Only" gives your employee the power to schedule only for dedicated containers that he or she is a member of. It will also automatically hide the information that they aren't meant to see - such as other people's wage rates and payment summaries. Assigning an employee as an "Admin User" provides the ultimate power - allowing them to view and modify anything and everything.

There is no limit on the number of jobs you can create in On Staff. Go on ... get busy and create as many jobs as you like and make managing your staff easy, like it should be!

pre-set shift hours
Tell On Staff how many hours a job is meant to take and it will apply this to your staff schedule whenever you assign an employee to that job. This function alone can save you hours of preparing schedules. Of course you can change these hours globally, for individual days, or for specific employees.

breaks done right
You can create an unlimited number of breaks, each with it's own set of rules. Is it paid or unpaid? How many hours should someone work before being entitled to each break? On Staff can then automatically populate all breaks that your staff were entitled to during their shift. If they didn't take them, or took only some - it's up to your staff to tell you.

auto populate wages, quickly and easily
To make it just that bit easier, we've added an auto-populate wage section for each job. Now when you add your staff, On Staff can "guess" at the appropriate wage and fill it in for you, saving you even more time when someone is added.

 

more powerful (powerful) reports
We've spent a great deal of time on our reports making them even more powerful. You can now you can make all sorts of changes directly from the report without having to jump backwards and forwards: change clock in and out times, approve times, and even change break times!
